About Me

- Location: Fuchu, Tokyo, Japan
I am American a 30-year resident of Japan, living in Japan and working as a university professor. I am married to a wonderful Japanese woman named Shizuko, whom I met in my college days in Kentucky. We raised our two, now grown, children bilingually and biculturally. Now we raise loyal and talented Toy Manchester Terriers (pet dogs who can play the piano) in the suburbs of Tokyo, I am a university teacher of English and researcher, but am also involved in a lot of other both professional and semi-professional activities.
